clicking only while in gear sounds like driveshafts. those things go out so often that my local auto parts store carried both of them in stock, meaning so many people, in even this tiny little town, have bought that part from them they see fit to carry it all the time. after turning in the old ones for the core discount, i ended up only spending about $140. i had 222k miles on mine when i started noticing the symptom, but it took to 230k for them to start SHAKING BADLY. i had to replace them.
replacement was easy even for my first time. i had already spent more than $200 getting balance, rotation, alignment, and even new friggin tires trying to diagnose, finally, that it was the driveaxles that were causing the vibrations and odd grinding noises.
an older family crx, years ago (like 84/85 hf) produced a clicking sound, but only while turning a certain direction. that was the driveaxle as well. having replaced that one is why my dad had the proper socket on hand.
anyway, i have no experience with cambre kits, so i have no idea whether or not this could cause the clicking, but the fact that it only happens in gear sways me to the driveaxles.
