well the day I picked up the car I was told it was a 4cyl... never thought twice about it, where the usual "v6" is there is a badge there... thought nothing of it..
so I'm at a red light, trying to figure out if the squeaking is a belt, so I put it in neutral and climb to about 2500 rpm, and just then some kid beside me is farting... er revving like he wants to race... I thought it'd be funny to see what this supposed 2.2 I4 was capable of... light turned green and we were side by side until 3rd gear when I instantly knew this wasn't a 4 banger, damn thing shot off and I was at 80 before I knew it... the guy pulled up beside me at the next light with his windows up and looked no where but straight forward...
I thought this was funny...
the last 2 cars I've bought I was either told it was a 4cyl or assumed it was, and lo-and behold they were both sixes.. ford contour (fun car, albeit unreliable) and this malibu
