I had the exact same problem that you just described. But mine went out rather quickly...sent me through a stop light because i couldn't stop. Towed to the dealer and they put a new master cylinder on it. Make sure you get the one that isn't for ABS. After they replaced it, it was fine haven't had a problem since. Costed like 350 and a few pennies to get it fixed...
