i had a problem just like that... the first thing i tried was replaceing the oil pressuer sender unit... that fixed it for awhile but then it started again... my brother who is a ford ASSAT trained mechanic said that there is acircuit board inside the istrament cluster that comes loose and will cause that prolem sometimes... but the verry fust thing i would check is to see if the the little wire that plugs into the sender unit is on tight... the way the wire plugs up is kinda shitty... the wire has something like a plug on the end of it that goes onto what looks like a screw comeing out of the sender... it dont screw on and it dont lock in place... it just slides on... any way if you dont know where the sender is... it screws in the same houseing that your oil filter screws into... give it a whirl... oh the sender unit is less then ten bucks.
