Ouch, sorry to hear that. That's one of the reasons I try to never drive in the rain.
Water doesn't compress, so as your piston came up to try and compress the A/F mixture it couldn't. You could have did quite a bit of damage like throwing a rod, cracking your pistons, and your sleeves might not be so straight anymore.
My advice, save up for a H22.
