Yes, that does not sound right. The H22 ecu was designed to dump alot of extra fuel in the higher end to protect from detonation. However, this extra fuel essentially lowers combustion temperatures. There is power to be regained leaning out the mixture.
I think what the Honda specialist is thinking is to raise VTEC crossover and
