Starting faster and shifting in drag racing

I have little experience other than on the street of just playing around with my car, but I want to take it to a 1/4 mile track and really hit it. I really need to know if any of you have constructive suggestions as to launching and the things involved after that. Are there special ways of shifting? I understand to take out everything that's not necessary weight wise (weight reduction! ). What else can I be doing while driving it to help my times and can some of these things be applicable to just street racing the red mustang next to me.

BTW, I have a 1998 Integra GS-R, with NGK wires, NGK Iridium plugs, and an AEM cold air intake. (dunno if any of those will make a difference in how I should drive the car)

Thanks peoples!
