I just replaced front lock actuator on 99 it was sticking before and now it works great. Start by removing 2 screws in armrest then remove plastic piece around door handle with screwdriver then take screwdriver and pry up door switch assembly.
finally door panel is held on by plastic holders take screwdriver again and start on bottom edge of door and pry off (the holders are pretty long) once you remove door panel you find actuator in the rear part of door closer to latch (on the front door anyway) Actuator is riveted on drill out rivets and lift actuator off lock arm put rivets back in and put door back together.. good luck!

Tell ya what guys, in my opinion, if it costs two hundred bucks to get them replaced, it's worth it!!

Most of the time, when you get the door panel off, you still can't see the actuator. You gotta work blind and some of those clips are a bitch to remove/replace when you can't see them.

I personally hate working inside of doors.
