You may be right since I drive an early SR20DE equiped car.
However, on SE-R.NET you can find the folowing TSB:

which changes the suggested std plug for Classics later (than 4/91) to 6 (from 5). This is what I had in mind. If later (1993) they switched again to 5 I was not aware of it.
