Skipr,
Thanks for the reply. I've taken off the upper manifold for the third time in 3 nights having swapped the fpr from the new one to the old one and probably back again (haven't finished yet). The reason I asked is because when I put the manifold all back together, I started to get a very wierd reaction: my engine started to run very rich (very noticable white cloud with raw, gassy smell to exhaust and eventual very loud backfire). I took the manifold off again and replaced the new fpr with the old fpr, checked for leaks; got none, then put the manifold back on and got the same situation. I talked with some guys at the local Autozone and they think the reaction is symptimatic of a vacuum leak. I thought that the fpr was spewing gas into the inlets and the chilton's manual said that there is a vacuum hose, which is obviously not the case. Anyways, do you have any ideas as to why I'm suddenly running so rich and backfiring? I'm confident that I replaced everything correctly.
Thanks.
