91 Accord Drivers Side Wheel "Metalic Clank" on Bumps

91 Accord Stock.

When I'm driving down the road and hit a bump with the left (drivers side) front wheel I hear a metallic clank. I don't hear it on the other wheel(passenger). I can replicate this sound almost all the time by driving over a bump (pothole, patch of uneven pavement, roadkill).

I have noticed that when I apply my brake and run over similiar obstacles I cannot hear the metaliic clank at all (100% of the time). I tried this uphill downhill, slow and fast, with both the brake and accelerator applied.

I did have a place quickly inspect that wheel and they observed that the bearing on this wheel was worn. The guy heard the clank (on a test drive) and said that, that shouldn't be a cause of the clank.

I can't tell anything else performance wise, I looked under the car and nothing seems to be "loose". The car drives normal.

What can this be.. I'm thinking something brake related since it doesn't happen when the brake is applied. The clank is pretty significant. Like two pieces of thin metal are being banged together.
