The turn signal flasher is a small canister-shaped or rectangle unit located under the dash, in the clip adjacent to the steering column. The hazard flasher is located in the in the convenience center [under the glove compartment].
When functioning properly an audible click can be heard.
If the turn signal fails on one side or the other and the flasher does not sound a faulty bulb is indicated.
Having said that, mine will make rapid clicking sounds when the rear bulb is burnt out.
If the right signal does not work, [the dash light stays on] but the left works properly, then the column switch is suspect.
If both turn signals fail to blink the problem may be a fuse, flasher unit, or broken switch.
When replacing the flasher, compare the new unit to the old one; there are many different units out there.
