how high does it rev? if it's more than 1500 i'd say your IAC gasket blew or something of that nature. or it could simply be stuck open. perhaps it's your throttle body sticking open.
take your intake tube off and make sure the tb is closing all the way. if it isn't, take it off the car and clean it thoroughly with carb cleaner, making sure to remove all deposits. before you do that, take the IAC motor off and check to see that the gasket is sealing. fill the valve cavity with carb cleaner and let it sit for a few minutes, then rinse it out. check to make sure it's moving properly. bolt it back together and fire it up, i bet it'll work much better.
and disconnect your battery before all this too, so the computer wipes itself and can re-learn the proper idle settings.
