Hm. I'd considered using epoxy, but the last time I tried to patch a tank, it didn't work. Of course, that was a pesticide pump tank and I doubt the windshield tank requires pressurization.
Is the epoxy actually called '5 Minute' or would any general-purpose epoxy do?
Fortunately if I can't get it fixed, a replacement tank is only $34 from the dealer. I'd rather fix it than spend the money.
