i would test the headlight plug with a 12 volt dc test light,
ground it to metal, then stick the point end into the plug that
goes on the headlight.
see if you are hot there or not
or, to test, yank a head light of another car and wire it up with short
wires if the plug is not correct
i would suspect the actual headlight switch you pull
of and on, i have seen the switches make all kinds of things happen ya never thought possible.
USUALLY the switches do not cost much at all,
or,
as i do when i can, i vist a few salvage yards and load up
on all the electical goodies, the more ya get, the cheaper
it is for what ya got, and then, you have tons of goodies for working on your not-so-new ride, so it is not go buy new everytime
something quits werking, or, as i do it, on some things
like electrical, I will test with salvage parts, or make one good out of 3 bad, etc then when i find prob for sure,
go but me a new one.
