No, don't forget about it. Could be your brakes are too tight and wearing out constantly. Don't understand why... Not having consistant power and wearing out brakes is a bad sign. If they found your rear brakes were worn, maybe it is a problem with your automatic adjusting mechanism.
Sorry if this is a really stupid question and insulting, but since it is a new truck for you...
You do know how to work your parking brake don't you? No chance you leave it on, even a little bit, and forget about it sometimes???
