It's not a job for a novice, but it can be done. Don't try to cut corners and buy cheap parts, or decide not to change certain parts. Buy a quality timing set and all the tensioners, guides etc..., and while your in there, replace the water pump too. It's driven by the timing chain and is much easier while you already have it apart. Don't let it go too long, or you'll grenade the motor if that chain lets go.
