well I really like both cars alot... however a few things to think about are...
1. Price: the gs-r will surely be cheaper
2. Mileage: Type -s will more than likely have less miles on it
3. aftermarket: while probly not true for long I believe the gs-r still has a slight advantage in options for aftermarket parts.
4. performance: ehh about the same.
5. Styleing: hmmm your call, I think they both have strenths and weaknesses.
6. Handleing: I'm not sure but I believe the S has a better suspension
