Its because its a bigger motor with more TORQUE. They tuned it to where you see the peak tq/hp at lower rpm. Thats the best i can explain it. Its not a bad thing at all. Revving higher doesn't mean you have power. You actually lose power...especially with a chipped ecu. For an S2000 i'd definitely get the hondata and fatter cams. The cams would keep the lobes open and therefore he'll continue to make power on top end. You can rev high if you want but i'm telling you that the motor wont handle it. You have to get it build specifically for that type of revving.
