First off dont EVER put grease on the pads or shoes. I haven't done the brakes on my 92 yet but if the pads come with the thin metal shims you will need to put a little grease on them. They make a tool to compress the piston for the front brakes, just be sure to remove the cap on the brake fluid res. and check to make sure it does not spill out when you do compress the piston. Make sure that you check the back brakes to see if they really do need to be replaced. Most times they will last a lond time. The fronts will most likely need just a couple of bolts removed to drop the pads out. Remove the whole caliper and they should fall out.
