If I am reading this correctly you say that a lower profile tyre that is actually wider will aqua plane less? If that is what you're stating then that is wrong becase a wider tyre will aqua plane easier not the other way around. A skinner tyre will cut through the water much more effeciently but have much less side wall strength and a smaller contact patch which is not good for overall handling. Hence the reasons people who like to go to the tracks put the widest tyre they can fit on their cars for traction and handling.
