well the toyota AE86 is a really ood car to learn to drift, kinda hard to find in the states nowadays

the 240sx is a another nice car for dirfting
the S13 89 to 94 i believe are good but have understeer, easy to correct with the replacement/modification of the front suspension

the S14 also nice doesnt have the same understeer problem as well

the SR20DET engine is good for drifting as the weight is alittle better also square motor so rev better
of course for drifting the KA24DE[stock] is fine as power is not a major issue, in the sport

the first thing that you would want to do is to fix up the stock suspension at least i think so [like the bushings and what not] many people recommend just going ahead and upgrading to aftermarket parts if you need repairs/replacement, but i kind of think it would be good to get used to the stock fell of the car dyour drifting beforegoing out and doing big changes.

the drift bible is also a very helpful DVD, dvd is just better because consant rewinding fastforwarding a tape is bad

the best thing that you can do is to just practice thats all really, what i suggest is the use of empty parking lots with nothing or very few things to hit, work on basic movements at first then after getting better the use of cones to make simulated corners and turns would be a gewd idea, i usually take them form construction area and road repair areas, careful tho their is a thread on bad things that had happened to people doing this

find a used tire store in your area and pick out yourself some good ones or you could get a extra new set[expensive but whatever you want], this is alot easier if you get a 240 with stock tire/rims and go for new rims because then you can just use a tire iron and jack to change to drifting tires [This trick helps you save your daily tires]

this post is really long but i just wanted to be complete well as best as i can remember right now....

P.S. just a suggestion but ask at the drifting section and other drifting forums for a more diverse answer i mena here your asking 240sx owners
