Just use the 3M glue to glue trunk "carpet" to the metal then you can glure the fabric to that. or just leave the carpet exposed. I have done several over the years and no one has noticed. You can get the trunk liner/carpet at Pepboys. It looks like the material on the rear deck so it doesn't look bad even when you look closely. Good Luck
