Re: Upgrades/Mods

Hi Berto,

Sounds like a great list of mods. I'm running the K&N on my truck, and just installed the Volant intake on my wife's '04. It might be worth your time to consider the Volant - it's a bit more quiet than the K&N. That rush-of-air sound is awesome at first, but it gets annoying after a while.

I recently installed a Brembo Turismo kit on my truck. It consists of new rotors, pads, & stainless lines, and uses the stock calipers. I'm very impressed.

As for lowering, I highly recommend the McGaughy's 'delux' kit. I ran another in the past and was very disappointed in the degradation in ride quality. The McGaughy's is a much more elegant solution - utilizing drop spindles up front, and shock extenders to go along with springs in the rear.

I've never heard positive results with programmers, except for folks that do a lot of heavy towing. I'm running a Wester's PCM, which is, by far, my favorite mod! I can't recommend this one highly enough if you're looking for a boost in performance. Here's a link if you're interested:

Good luck - keep us posted!

Take care,
