sorry just saw again.... behind the seats theres ummm... not enough room for much at all... enough for the glass roof sections, and i've seen SMALL enclosure subs mounted there... but really if ICE is your concern get a different car... The MR2 is pretty difficult to set up for stuff like that, although like anything it can be done... Jeckylandhyde will be able to give you better price stuff than me cause i'm not in the states...
600whp is really huge... the engine can do it but you'll be rebuilding EVERYTHING! and the turbo you'll need will probably make it drive like a DOG...or even a pig dog... hmm i think you should probably have a drive of one and rethink your power needs...
