If you know what you're doing it shouldn't be hard. If you're going to put a built 390 in, you may want to consider changing the whole drivetrain. I'm guessing it's still got the original tranny, rear end, and even the original motor mounts. All that, you're going to want to consider replacing or repairing before you just swap a new motor into the car. That can add a level of difficulty finding out what OE parts need to be replaced because of age. Also, you may want to check the original wiring harness, those have problems with the old wiring shorting out. As far as taking the engine out, you can do one of two things; Get a cherry picker and take it out through the top, or unbolt everything and drop it out through the bottom.
