Looking at the Engine, those scratchbuild shocks really do make a huge difference in that engine. Looks amazing.

Good luck with the aluminum foil. I will be using it on my F189 for floorpan and parts of the monocoque. My reference pictures shows the heat sheilding to be messy(so cigarette foil wouldnt work) so aluminum foil is the only way to go. I found that by crinkling it up into a loose ball and then flattenin it out. Then rolling it with a rolling pin gives a very good textured surface without being too large. Im intrigued to see how yours turns out!
