Well if there's backpressure, that's because the fill up tube is too small in diameter. Getting it replaced wouldn't be expensive and would probably fix everything. However, pulling the nozzle back would fix that and the angle of the nozzle also helps. Try to leave a vent between the nozzle and the fillup tube.
