My mom's car had too much and they made her get it taken off and be reinspected. So you may run into a problem there. As far as driving around with the tint you want, well, maybe if it is noticeably too much tint to a police officer, then you may run into trouble. However, I think the police have too much to think about than looking at people's windows to guess the tint.
