I would definitely get the skyline. I have had no mechanical problems with my R33 at all...well...except for a new clutch center plate which is due the pounding it received.

If you plan on leaving it stock or close to stock, then you should have no problems with it at all. But if you are planning on heavily modding it, keep in mind that the standard mechanicals may not stand up to the pressure...like the clutch and other driveline parts, which will eventually crap out and need replacing.

They are an awesome car to drive. Great handling (with some suspension tuning) and can drift soooooooooo easily and performance that will blow your mind (once the hp has been ticked a bit). Not saying that they are slow stock...but once tuned...damn quick!!!
