I dont know if my theory is correct but this is the way i see it: lets take toyota's celica 95 the chassis is st202, it carries a 5s-fe engin the 's' in the chassis code meaning it carries an 'S' engine, the new celica gts chassis(00-04) has the chassis zzt230 and it has a 2zz-ge engine the chassis has changed because of the ZZ engine. But previous skylines have a enr32 & bnr32 ....and so on they all have a rb engine or short for just r series..im not sure this is correct, because the 350z chassis is z33 unless if it has a V before the z33. now in the case of the infinity g35 the chassis is v35 im guessing because of the VQ engine...........like i said that is the way i see it, but if this was correct many of the nissans must have a V in their chassis code .
