Thats really easy actually, its not really weather stripping, I'm guessing that the glass shop thought it was the actual weather stripping that hold the window in. If they new better and still gave you that line, they're thieves.

Take the trim off the back of the window and pull. It slides in from either end over the roof.

If I remember correctly there is a spot between the roof and the front windshield where you can slide it in also.
