Re: just bought used engine what to do before install?

Well When I did my swap I took my time and replaced:

All coolant hoses
Thermostat
Vacuum hoses
Water Pump
Timing Belt
Clutch (Dual Friction Center Force Machined Fly wheel)
Distributor Cap, rotor, plugs
Header (unless you have down-pipe with H22A header)
CV Boots (dismantled CV Joints and rebuilt)
Used wire loom all over the place while it was out.

If JDM don’t forget all there fuel and wiring is on the other side of the engine.

It cost me about $300 to do all the little things to complete the swap. Not including the $300 clutch And spoon ECU.

Oh the Clutch is A good deal. It has been almost two years since I put that swap together. And I have not had to do anything to it. And I Beat the Shit Out of that car.

It is in the red about 8 out of 10 times I take off, downshift, or just drive. I have had the needle go to the end of red and hit the 20 MPH number literally about 75 time. I don't have a rev limiter (Per Spoon). And the engine keeps going. AWESOME Cluth hooks up every time still to this day. even when droped from 6 grand. No Shit. Very Happy with Prelude JDM H22A
