I doubt 8 width would fit unless you get a lower than normal offset. or get like a 5mm spacer. I'd go with 7.5 width. As for diameter size, don't worry about what other people say "looks best" if you want performance, then you want to smallest diameter that suits you, in your case "16. SSR Comps are very light wheels to begin with.

For the sake of referance, the 16x8 SSR Comps weight just 12 pounds. 18x7.5 weigh a very respectable 14.5 pounds. So either one will be fine really, because 14.5 is an average weight for most typical light weight "16's. But lighter is always better. I have "16x7 Rota Grid wheels myself and I'm very much into the handling performance of my car, they weigh in at 14.5 pounds. So the 18x7.5 SSR's would be fine IMO, but it's all your preferance.
