Well, I did just that, changed the gasket and plugs, never did get that darn fuel filter changed, but I ended up selling that car to my brother-in-law dirt cheap and if he has any problems I told him we can work on it together. The problem has seemed to disappear since I changed the plugs and gasket, but that little honda is not on MY insurance anymore!!
