ya, i called up the good ole insurance people one day. The amount we pay for the 3000GTs or for any car is based on the 'rating' or so they call it. I was looking into selling my 93 3000GT base (manual, 60k miles) and getting a 94 Camaro Z28 (5.7L V8 with headers, 75 shot of NOS, and a bunch of mods) and it would be cheaper to insure the Camaro than the 3000GT. I was like wha???

The insurance lady told me the 'rating' is based on factors like: foreign or domestic, availability of parts, pricing of parts, crash-worthyness, etc. etc. So i think always the foreign cars will be more expensive to insure than the domestics b/c the parts cost more and they're not as easy to find as the domestic parts.

ALSO, any mitsu owner knows how hard it is to work on our freakin engines! There is next to ZERO space in the engine compartment, with the DOHC setup the timing belt is a pain. Compare that to a SOHC Camaro with just a serpentine belt in the front with plenty of room to work.

But i could never part with my 3000GT. They look sooo sweet.
