Venting the valve cover doesn't cause a vacuum leak. There are two ports on the valve cover to vent crankcase pressure. In stock form one runs down to the intake pipe before the turbo. (This is the line most people replace with a breather filter) and the second connects through the PCV valve to the intake manifold. The RRE catch can has two ports on it, one for each of the vents on the valve cover. Now to avoid a vacuum leak at the manifold when you disable the PCV valve you have to plug the port in the intake manifold the valve connected too.
