It could be that there is something wrong or something needs cleaned/adjusted. Maybe do a compression check and leakdown test, then just a regular tune-up should eliminate any problems that you have, after all if you're hitting vtec then you *shouldn't* have any major problems. Unless it's a slipping clutch or something that's sapping power from the wheels...

But odds are that you've just gotten used to the car and used to vtec kicking in.

Trust me, my previous car was a 300zxTT and the first time I was in it...DAYUM...but after driving it for a while and getting used to the turbos spooling up it got commonplace and normal. So I just started modding until I ended up with about 400 whp and then it wasn't boring anymore.

Maybe time for some headwork???
