the FJ40 would have to be on of the best fourbys ever created but they can lack allot of power and is why i understand why wou would like to convert it into a V8,
I havent actually don it myself but i know it has been done,
hear down under we have a holden engine that might be great for you and i thing that you will be able to find one over there it is the GENIII
a chevy engine.
i also agree that you need a new exhauhst.
