I would recomend that you do a drain and refill first with a filter change.

Then, if you wish to continue, locate the line that goes to the cooler and disconnect it. (this line won't allow you to flush the cooler but most of the time it is the easiest to use). Position it to direct oil into a container. Use an extension hose if you have to.

Run the engine with the transmission in neutral (so set the park brake) to collect a liter or two of fluid and shut off the engine. top up the transmission with the amount you pumped out and run the engine agiain.

Repeat untill you have replaced an amount equal to the total fill capacity of the transmission.

Periodicaly run the the transmission through the gears to supply the clutch pistons with oil and flush out the cavity.

You will have used more than that amount because of the initial refill, but the little bit more that it will cost will ensure that you have replaced all of the original fluid.

you could fudge the extra amount by a few liters if you want but it would be a max of about 5-6 qts extra.

Just make sure that you change the filter first and clean the pan.

You will probably find some debre in the pan but don't sweat it unless there is a lot of shiney in the pan.

I prefer to change the oil and inspect the contents of the pan more often but if this is the first service you have done since you owned it then the flush is probably worth it.
