Re: Tomei SR22DE in N14 SSS Pulsar?

The Tomei crank is fully counterweighted, with some really trick designs + the car has 86.2mm forged pistons and with high compression(11.7:1) / longer stroke / extra capacity, I have to say that the engine is tractable all the way through to the current 9500rpm rev limit but Tomei claim it can rev to 11,000rpm with the right camshafts.
As the SR16VE engine is of smaller capacity, my SR22(2124cc)VE requires less revs to achieve similiar gas flow. Thus peak power is not at 9500rpm(about 8500rpm) but if I can source a new camshaft with higher lift on the hi-rpm lobe, it could be worthwhile. However, I have currently lost my licence for speeding in my other car.

To answer your question: I call it an electrical problem because after the engine destroyed itself, the alternator was smashed and shorted out... I still managed to get about 300metres running on piston 3&4 before the computer died.
