Re: rear speakers sound bad? why?
If your not getting any bass, check and make sure the speakers are hooked up right, if one has the polarity reversed, it will cancel out the bass. Next make sure you have a good seal between the 6x9's and the trunk, if there is a large gap, or even a small one really, it can really hender performance. The last thing to try is to see if you can get an enclosure to fit the 6x9's in and still have them in the rear deck.
Which alpine 6x9's do you have anyway? and is this an infinity system? One thing to note most aftermarket speakers need more power than factory, for one reason they are made of better parts, in which case are heavier, this makes them harder to move so you need the juice to push them. Sound is all about moving air, not about watts. So if you can vibrate the speaker enough, then it won't move enough air.
