Sorry to take so long to reply... working 12 hours per weekday, helping family build a fence on weekends, 11 month old daughter sick, trying to get adware/virus off computer, and working on fender bender, etc. etc.

Thanks for the reply, but I finally figured out how to remove the clips that hold on the bumper cover after messing with them a while longer. It turns out there is a large round disk (looks like a plastic washer) with a shaft in the middle. Pull out the shaft to relieve the tension and the entire clip comes out. Remove the bolts in the fender well (2 per side) and slide the cover off. A few sledge hammer hits later the dent is removed and all I have to do now is touch-up paint the cover or sell the car (which ever is easiest or comes first).
