EXACTLY! Not to mention the runners (tubes going to each cylinder) are curved and about the worse design possible for them. Notice how any aftermarket intake manny will always have straight runners, and short as possible. The I/M that you have from the '97 DX WILL have more sensors, since the biggest differance between OBD1 and OBDII is the more amount of sensors that OBDII has. Your taking a big step backwards if you want to change your car from OBDI to OBDII not to mention the conversion will be more trouble than it's worth and won't work right unless you get EVERY SINGLE sensor connected and hooked up just right. Your better off getting an A6 or Y8 (EX) I/M. Better design and more power gain from it.
