That cable is called a Kick down cable. No one but the dealer has it. I tried driving with it disconneted. Wow the tranny slips alot and does NOT downshift when I floor it. It really sounds like its hurting the torque converter without it. The engine came with 36,500 miles on it. Now it has about 40,000. I dont think it needs adjustment. If it did, I know how to do it anyway but I dont have the specs for it. My haynes manual is for a 92-95 civic I have a 97 engine.
