The fact that it keeps the exaust hot is a very good thing. However wraps can be very dangerous especially on the exaust manifold since the temperatures experienced by the metals are much higher.
What I would recomend instead is to take your exaust manifold port and polish it then send it to be ceramic coated on the inside.
