 that doesn't make any sense. More gears means more effieciency in those cars. The Camaro SS can be doing 90 mph in sixth gear at only 2000 rpm how is that inefficient? My Maxima is at 3000 rpm at 80mph in 4th gear (overdrive) and I get 25 mpg. Almost any car can be efficient if you don't "hot rod it" around and let the rpms stay down |
Yes you are right you are confused. I was saying that the ONLY reason they get 17mpg is b/c of the 6 speed tranny. If it had a 5 speed the mpg would be less. If 17 mpg is effeicient to you then hoorah, but for ME 17 mpg ain't gonna cut it.
