If I can remember correctly when I replaced my clutch I used a small punch (round chisel). I dont know how you tried locking it but I just put it between 2 teeth and pushed it against one of the raised lines on the block. Or you could remove your inspection cover and put a screw driver or chisel in between the teeth and it would just push against the block. Also if youre not using one try to find a buddy with an impact those bolts are REALLY TORQUED!
