I have recently got a 730d (2004) and was planning to use it as an private hire/executive/limosine service. However, in order for the vehicle to be registered as such, a taxi/fare meter must be put in.
We got our local dealer to install a pulse/speed thing (Canbus, see
http://www.soundlabsgroup.com.au/can..._interface.htm) and connect the wires to a meter. This is not the right model we got, it was said to work with the 2004 730d. Unfortunately it didn't, and at the moment, I am stuck as to what I need to do in order to be able to start the business.
I am hoping someone could point me in the right direction.
