Re: In-Car Video ~ Hyde's 12.05 @ 117.50 @ Summer Slam

Exactly. The conditions were almost perfect Saturday for making HP (it was warm, but the humidity was low), but the track just was pure junk. They have a dirt track right beside the strip, and they raced it Friday night, so this had dust all over the strip, plus it rained, plus you have the trophy class (street cars) that refuse to dodge any mud holes and well, you get the idea, lol.

Sometimes the track hooks really good though. They were glueing it all night, but it does no good to glue dirt!

I'd like to take our car to an 1/8th mile, and see what it would do. This engine doesn't sound as good as the others, but it is running pretty close to what they did. There is a difference in it however. the previous 3 engines this summer had 12.5:1 pistons (one had 13.5:1), and this one has 10:5.1 pistons, BUT the dip in the heads are filled up and so the shop that did the heads/engine says this motor will have the same compression as the others (he said probably 12.5:1).
